Identified key events in the preparation of world Cup 2018

April 27, 2016 – 8-th Council of the organizing Committee with the participation of FIFA, an announcement of the sites of the Festivals for the FIFA fans.

May 12-13, 2016 – the FIFA Congress in Mexico (promotion of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017). After this event will be determined by the prices on matches of the Championship. According to the Chairman of the organizing Committee Vitaly Mutko on a press-conferences in Nizhni Novgorod, ticket prices will be determined on the basis of the General standard of living in the country.

May 2016 – start global company on the recruitment of volunteers.

September 2016 – start of public voting to determine the final three options of Mascot.

October 2016 – presentation of the Mascot of the 2018 world Cup.

26 November 2016 – the draw for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 (Kazan)
