IBM and Maersk began to promise Blockchain supply chain company

The purpose of this enterprise is the commercialization of Blockchain for all aspects of the global supply chain system: from shipping to ports and banks to customs.

Blockchain's technology is uniquely capable of providing special control over the logistics industry, as it can replace tedious and insecure documentation with secure digital records that are also transparent.

Chairman of the newly formed board for the joint venture will be Maersk's chief commercial officer Vincent Clerc.

The company had promised to deliver a new project by the end of last year. The proposal is that both companies must pay for the year, each of whom have invested in Blockchain in other ways. The joint venture is hoping to begin offering its software solutions by the third quarter of 2018.
