Gazprom started the construction of the offshore section of the export pipeline “Turkish stream” on the Russian coast of the Black Sea near Anapa.

Gazprom started the construction of «Turkish stream»

It is noted that the laying of the lead ship of the Swiss company Allseas, is a contractor of construction of both lines of the offshore section of the pipeline. The ship will also be used to pull the pipes from the shore through the microchannel.

“The project is implemented strictly according to plan and by the end of 2019 our Turkish and European consumers will receive a new reliable route for Russian gas imports”, — said the Chairman of the Board Gazprom, Alexey Miller. The pipeline is being built to bypass Ukraine to reduce transit risks. At the bottom of the Black Sea, it is proposed to lay 900 kilometers of pipes.

The offshore section of the pipeline will belong to Gazprom. Funding for the construction of two branches of the project, the company will take.
