Free Libraries Appeared in Streets of Nizhny Novgorod

Free libraries appeared on the streets of Nizhny Novgorod, Such establishments have been arranged near large blocks of flats in form of small houses. Every citizen is able to bring a book which he does not need anymore and give it to those libraries. Other people will have a chance to read them free of charge. Such information appeared on the official website of City Administration.

In accordance with this information citizens will be able to visit such libraries all year round. There will be no limitations for readers. They can come here as much as they want. They will not need special library tickets of any other IDs. The establishments will be absolutely free of charge. City Administration kindly asks all citizens to be rather accurate and quite in these libraries.

The idea of creating small libraries was implemented during the opening ceremony of Fix Prize shop in one of the districts of Nizhny Novgorod. At the same time it is also a part of special social program that is called “40 Good Deeds”.

It should be noted that 2015 has already been announced as Year of Literature in Russia. That is why some people say that opening of street libraries is a miracle.

Citizens of some districts have already made their first contribute and presented lots of books to street libraries. Lots of people visit those reading houses together with children and find the rather interesting and useful.
