Last year, the first time China became the most important trading partner of Germany. A year earlier, a major trading partner of this country was the US, but in 2016 they missed ahead of China and France, remaining in second place. As informs Reuters, citing data from the Federal statistical office of Germany, last year the volume of foreign trade between Germany and China has increased to 170 billion euros. The volume of trade between Germany and France amounted to 167 billion, and between Germany and the U.S. 165 billion euros. According to experts, most likely, the German government will support the increase in foreign trade with China, as the authorities of this country have set a goal to protect global free trade after Donald trump threatened to bans on imports. According to the Vice-Chancellor of Germany Sigmar Gabriel, the EU should refocus its economic policy, focusing on Asian countries. | |
