First start with the "East" was held today in the morning
Thursday morning was the first launch of the carrier rocket from the Russian cosmodrome East. It was the second launch attempt, and that it was successful. The representatives of "Roscosmos" has posted a video of the launch and reported that the companions made contact.

The carrier rocket "Soyuz-2.1 a" successfully launched from the Russian cosmodrome East in the Amur region on Thursday, 28 April at 05:01 Moscow time. Aboard the rocket was the spacecraft "Lomonosov, AIST-2D" and nanosatellite SamSat-218. After about two hours, all the devices reached to the target orbit.

Launch of "Soyuz-2.1 a" was supposed to happen the day before, however, the ground control system canceled the takeoff for fifteen minutes before the start. The head of state Corporation "Roscosmos Igor Komarov told journalists that a failure has occurred, most likely due to damage to one of the cables. His fault has led to the fact that one of the parameters is not passed the confirmation of normal operation systems, and automation has canceled the start.

Present at the launch of the carrier rocket Vladimir Putin congratulated the employees and builders of the cosmodrome with the successful launch and said that the launch of the Soyuz-2.1 a" is a reason for pride.
