Facebook stops deleting messages that say the coronavirus was developed by humans. A spokesperson of the company informs news site Politico on Wednesday. The decision follows the renewed discussion on the origin of the virus. "In light of ongoing research into the origin of the coronavirus and in consultation with public health experts, we will no longer remove the claim that the virus was made by humans from our apps," said the spokesperson. "We continue to work with health experts to keep up with the changing nature of the pandemic and regularly update our policies as new facts and trends emerge." Since February, Facebook has not allowed any messages stating that the virus has been developed by humans. However, this claim has recently been questioned again, after The Wall Street Journal reported that employees of the laboratory in the Chinese city of Wuhan - where the outbreak began - already had coronavirus-related complaints in 2019. The laboratory denies that employees became ill at the time as a result of a possible outbreak of COVID-19. A study by the Healt |
