Experts proposed adjustments to the draft on the regulation of the crypto-currency market in the Russian Federation
Need to regulate virtual currencies in Russia discussed on the eve of experts from the lower house of parliament, university professors and representatives of international associations. On the agenda of the meeting were proposals to amend the civil legislation.

Member of the State Duma Committee for State Construction and Legislation Oleg Bykov recalled that these changes imply the consolidation of the concept of "digital law" instead of the term "token." According to him, this approach will provide the opportunity to provide assistance to individuals and legal entities within the framework of judicial protection.

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Regional Policy and Problems of the North and Far East Oksana Bondar believes that the powers of the regions could be envisaged in the law so that they could develop new technologies more efficiently. In particular, this applies to mining.

But the coordinator of the Center for Secure Internet Urvan Parfentiev said that it is inadmissible to recognize digital assets as money. The head of the working group on assessing the risks of the circulation of crypto-currency, Elina Sidorenko, in turn, summarized the opinion of experts who consider it important to make adjustments to the conceptual apparatus. Resolution on the results of the meeting will be transferred to the authors of the document.
