Evgeni Plushenko If Off The Training Camp

Russian Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko has not been included in the lineup of Russian team in the training camp. Sportsmen will spend their training preparation season in Turkey. Famous figure skater has not passed medical examination as he was busy with his performance in Asia. At the same time sportsmen are not allowed to join the team in the training camp without passing medical examination.

According to information provided by the coach Plushenko is in very good shape at the moment. He performed 2-3 triple axels and quadruple toe loop in his every program during the show in Japan.

“His good shape and conditions are out of the question at the moment. The idea is whether to take part in the race or wait for a better moment. We are considering that extreme loads on sportsman’s back should not be longer than three years. That is why thorough medical examination is necessary”.

At the same time the coach paid attention to the fact that Evgeni Plushenko needs thorough medical examinations in cooperation with neurologists, surgeons and other medical specialists.
