Ethereum Wallet Status announced the payment of $1 million for a new program

Announced today at ethereum's annual developer conference Devcon3, the program invites people to present possible solutions to the problems facing the wallet.

Although the initial awards will be used to compensate people who find errors in their own Status software, and perform other useful tasks, the representative said that more funds will be raised to provide bug bounties for other open-source projects in the future.

In addition, employers can view the bounty site for new talents - a potentially useful feature, as many businesses complain that there are not enough developers to fill in many of the roles open in projects focused on blockchain.

Also announced at Devcon, Status has developed a hardware wallet-a specialized storage device that supports ERC-20 tokens and uses near-field communication (NFC) and Bluetooth connectivity to transmit cryptocurrencies when needed.

Status mobile wallet (for Android and iOS) allows people to send and receive ether (own cryptocurrency of ethereum), and also allows users browse the collection of decentralized applications (dapps) built on ethereum.

With its coffers full following after the recent sale of the token, Status is one of the main sponsors of the Devcon3 conference in Cancun, Mexico, this year.
