Doge coin shot up last night after a tweet from Elon Musk. Musk said on Twitter that he still strongly believes in crypto, but not when 'mining' and paying with the currency requires a lot of fossil fuel as energy. He added to work with the developers of dogecoin to make the currency's transaction system more efficient. "Potentially promising," says Musk. A day earlier, tweets from Musk about the polluting nature of Bitcoin caused a huge drop in the price of these, as well as other cryptocurrencies. Dogecoin wins 16.4 percent at $ 0.5113 this morning. Bitcoin dropped another 2.5 percent to $ 49,205 according to CoinMarketCap data. |
