President of The United States Donald Trump assumes that US should not act as a "piggy bank" for other NATO countries, said Deputy Press Secretary of the White House, Hogan Gidley. According to Gidley, Trump intends to remind NATO countries at the forthcoming summit of the Alliance, that will be held July 11-12 in Brussels. "The president will visit this summit with the desire to protect the American people, to support our partners and allies, but, as he said many times, some people consider the US a world pig-piggy bank. For sure, it's wrong" - Gidley said. Soon after his inauguration president of the United States Donald Trump called NATO "an obsolete organization" and said that the participating countries do not fund it properly to effectively combat international terrorism. |
