Smartphones, in fact, are incredibly dumb. How many times you have seen that the UI is lagging while performing the very basic operations? How dare the manufacturers explain why I have to wait for four seconds before the damn thing really hangs up after I’ve pressed the red phone button? Trust me, they have their own lingo for every glitch. UI lags, for example, are ‘due to thermal throttling’, saving the battery life for you. They really care about you while your phone is lagging. It is an act of care, almost a self-sacrifice for your convenience, not a mediocre performance of loosely written overgrown application which run over shitty operating system on a underdeveloped hardware, as you may wrongly assume. I don’t now why anybody could attempt to mine crypto on the phone. It is absolutely unfit for the any applications of that sort. Even computer with server architecture, based on real CPU’s and GPU’s are unprofitable for mining the XMR (Monero). As for the Android applications, run over the smartphones, it is just a joke. So why Google has banned the crypto mining apps at the Google Play market, if nobody would really mine the cryptos on it? My guess it is not because ‘it can damage your phone’, as it was explained by the Good Directorate. It is just because crypto mining, like nothing else, reveals that the smartphones are really, really weak and unable. It is not a ‘computer in a pocket’, it is just a badly made toy. |
