According to the R3 blog post, AWS users can develop and deploy applications for finance and commerce - or use existing “CorDapps” from R3 - Corda, becoming one of the first DLT solutions on the marketplace.

David E. Rutter, CEO of R3, said that the news meant a "milestone" for enterprise blockchain technology.

The consortium, which now has more than 100 banks, regulators and technology firms as members, announced the release of the production version of Corda in October.

In the release, R3 ensured that the three major APIs of the platform would be compatible with older versions of the software.

Corda 1.0 also improved privacy, including support for confidential identifiers, and a network map service designed to simplify scaling.
