Construction of pig-breeding complex will be completed in the nearest future in Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia

Construction of pig-breeding complex is almost completed in Vadsky district if Nizhny Novgorod region. It belongs to Russia Baltic Pork Invest Norwegian Company. The overall investment volume is 50 million euros. Broodstock will be brought to this complex in autumn 2014. It will consist of 5000 pigs. This information was provided by Acting Minister of Agriculture and Production Resources Alexey Morozov. The capacity of new complex is evaluated in 180 thousand pigs. Cattle and pork self-supplies of Nizhny Novgorod region are 40-50% depending on a season. At the same time self-supply of agro-industrial products in 100%. Director of the National Union of breeders Yuriy Kovalev said that breeding sphere needs to be decreased by 40%.  He paid attention to the fact that production on private farms has decreased. Such lowering needs to be compensated.
