Colombian financial observer joined R3 Blockchain Consortium

With the transition, which focuses on the development of blockchains for the enterprise, the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC) indicated that it plans to remain "relevant to the latest achievements and implementations" of distributed ledger technology (DLT) in the financial services sector, according to the release.

The Colombian financial superintendent, Jorge Castaсo Gutierrez, said that this step is "a significant step for the company", because blockchain technology is bringing greater innovation in the financial systems.

In recent months, the Chilean banking regulator, the SBIF, and the financial regulator of Quebec, the Autorite des marches financiers, have announced their entry into R3’s portfolio, which currently consists of more than 100 financial institutions, banks, companies with professional services and technology firms.
