China increases natural gas consumption

In the first six months of this year, China showed a significant increase in the consumption of natural gas. This figure is 15 percent higher than in the previous period. At the same time, earlier the People's Republic of China showed an increase in consumption regularly, but such growth rates have not yet occurred. Data on this was provided by the State Committee for Development and Reform of China.

During the first half of the year, Chinese industrialists used about 114.6 billion cubic meters of blue fuel, which is 15.2 percent more than in January-June 2016. Now the country is actively promoting the use of gas in the production of fuel, electricity, and transport.

China and even plans to increase gas consumption, including the inclusion of natural gas in the energy consumption structure by 2020 to 10 percent. By 2030, in the resource market, gas should take 15 percent.

It is interesting that the lowest growth of gas consumption in recent years before was recorded in 2015. Then in 12 months industrialists spent 191 billion cubic meters, which is only 5.7 percent more than a year earlier. In 2016, China consumed 6.6 percent more.
