Bus collided with A Truck: 5 People Died, 20 Injured

A horrible accident has taken place on the 5th of November in Navashinsky district, Nizhny Novgorod region. Passenger bus collided with a truck on the 148th kilometer of Nizhny Novgorod - Kasimov highway. There were 22 passengers in the bus. The information is provided by the Regional Traffic Police Department.

5 people died in this accident. 7-year old boy and 12-year old girl were among them. In addition 20 more people were injured due to a collision.

The incident occurred on a sharp turn to the oncoming passing. A truck was carrying timber in its trailer. It fell on the bus while the vehicle was turning.

All necessary services have immediately shown up at the accident scene. They made everything possible in order to disassemble obstructions.

Information update

In accordance with new information 6 people died in this accident. They include 7-year old boy, two teenagers who were 17 and 18, 62-year old bus driver and two women who were 55 and 53.
In addition Traffic Police Department reports about 12 injured people but not 20 like it was said before. The information is still being clarified by the investigation committee. Traffic policemen and specialists are still working at the accident scene.
