Most European countries have been working for many years to study possible sources of renewable energy. One of the countries that managed to achieve the greatest success in this direction is Germany. To ensure that renewable sources could meet the electricity needs of a large number of households, it was decided to use the technology of blockchain. According to the available information, two well-known companies decided to unite their efforts to implement the project. We are talking about the organization, the leading energy trade, Energy2market GmbH and the power platform based on the Swytch blockchain. Within the framework of the pilot program, it is expected to provide electricity to over 500,000 homes in Germany, for which the energy of the sun, wind and water will be used. Under the rules of this project, users can earn tokens for generating emissions with a minimum carbon content. It is worth noting that a similar decision is planned to be implemented in Catalonia, where the program participants will also be able to sell surplus renewable electricity for tokens. |
