Bitcoin reached $ 5,800 as prices increased

At press time, the bitcoin-U.S. dollar (BTC/USD) exchange rate is $5,840 for global exchanges. According to CoinMarketCap, the cryptocurrency ratio has witnessed a 6 percent increase in the last 24 hours.

Earlier this week, after exceeded record levels above $6,100, bitcoin met a wave of offers for sale, as investors switched to alternative cryptocurrencies.

However, despite the fact that the new bitcoin gold (BTG) fell sharply on the first day of trading, bitcoin (BTC) was higher from a low of $5,376, indicating that fiat money can enter the BTC market, leading to higher prices.

Rumors are also making rounds that Amazon could announce that it will begin taking bitcoin for its quarterly income today. However, it should be noted that this seems unlikely, since the rumor distributed by the investor's newsletter is not trusted and was debunked many times in the recent past.

Looking ahead, maybe bitcoin will capitalize on the sharp recovery and reconsider record highs.

Analysis of price action suggests that the chances of a rise would improve if prices exceed $5,867.
