In an official statement on Thursday, the release director Tom Zander praised BCH and said that its validity means that Bitcoin Classic "fulfilled its promise." BCH rose in price by more than 35 percent in anticipation of a new hard fork, set for November 13, reaching its highest value since its debuted. As a result of the apparent failure of SegWit2x, the funds appear to be pouring into the competitive Bitcoin's fork, as investors make hedging rates for a duplicate chain. Until news of the hard fork, the BCH had largely occupied a secondary position, in addition to significant promotional efforts. Now, further public support is coming from the leaders of the cryptocurrency markrtplace, including Rick Falkvinge, the founder of the Finnish Pirate Party and the regulator commentator. |
