The news portal bits.media informs that the company Kromtech Security, which monitors the security of crypto-currency transactions, has revealed the disclosure of classified information about investors of Bezop crypto startup. This became known on Wednesday. The snatch in the MongoDB database allowed criminals to obtain confidential information about over 25,000 Bezop members. As a result, full names, information on electronic purses were declassified, and even scans of photographs of personal documents were published. The management of Bezop published a statement where it states that the leak of investors' data of the startup occurred in the winter, and the problem was eliminated in January 2018. It is reported that the site was exposed to a DDoS attack, due to which the vulnerability of databases was revealed. The company's technical director, Deryck Jone, assured that all participants of the start-up were informed about this. He also stressed that the security of the system was quickly restored. However, despite all the statements, one of the users of Twitter says that he came across declassified information in online mode on March 30 this year. This is also confirmed by the message Kromtech Security, which the company made on Wednesday. According to analysts, most likely, this incident was deliberately organized, since the accidental occurrence of this vulnerability in the database of information is impossible. |
