"In the first half, the Russian side will supply Belarus with all the requested amount of oil," — said "Belneftekhim". This year Russia will supply Belarus with 24 million tons of oil: in the second quarter to 6 million, in the third and fourth — 7, announced the official representative of "Transneft" Igor Demin. As reported, Belarus and Russia signed a package of four documents in the oil and gas sector on 13 April. These include protocols on amendments to the intergovernmental agreement on the formation of prices for gas supplies to Belarus and further cooperation in the gas sector on the conditions for further activities of Beltransgaz and the measures on settlement trading-economic cooperation in the sphere of export of oil and oil products. Vice-Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko told that the agreement on oil supplies in the amount of 24 million tonnes per year are long-term and are intended to 2024. As the Vice-Premier of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich added, according to the signed documents from the 24 million tons of crude oil to 18 million tons will stay in Belarus for processing, the remaining volumes can be used for export supply. The Protocol on amendments to agreement between countries to resolve trade and economic cooperation in the export of oil and oil products stipulates the possibility of increasing oil deliveries to Belarus after 2021. |
