The debt of Minsk for the supply of natural gas from Russia is approximately $ 600 million. This was reported to journalists by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
According to the official, Belarus needs to repay the debt. Gazprom is controlled by the state. A portion of the income goes to the state budget in the form of income tax.
Dvorkovich noted that negotiations with Minsk are difficult. By 2025, in the framework of the Eurasian economic Union must be finished the construction of a single gas market. The conclusion of new agreements with Russia, Belarus is required to fully pay for delivered fuel.
We will remind, disputes over gas price between Gazprom and Minsk started at the beginning of 2016. Belarus believes that Russia has significantly overstates the price of its natural gas and underpaid for delivery. Moscow has reduced duty-free oil supplies to Belarus. |
