BC Nizhny Novgorod smashed VEF Riga in VTB United Basketball League

BC Nizhny Novgorod has won in a very important away match against VEF Riga in the next round of VTB United Basketball League. The final score of the game was 82:59 (18:11, 28:11, 17:22, 19:15).

This is already 10th victory in a row for players from the capitol of Volga region. Such great results make it possible for the team to keep leading position in the overall standings of the tournament.

Kinsey was one of the most valuable players in Nizhny Novgorod team scoring 24 points. Tompkins scored 19 points. Parahovsky and Baburin were also among the most scoring players on the pitch making 13 and 11 points as follows.

The head coach of the team paid attention in the after match interview to the fact that his players were rather disciplined and showed a very good and effective attacking play. They were also very concentrated on defense. At the same time he stressed a big amount of turnovers which must be reduced. There were 17 turnovers during the last game which is not very good for the team with such potential. The next match will also be rather tough as BC Nizhny Novgorod is going to play against UNICS Kazan. The game will take place on the 19th of December following another challenging match against CSKA on the 21st of December.
