Bad Start for Russian Hockey team in Karjala Cup 2014
Russian International Hockey Team has lost in its first match against Sweden during the Karjala Cup. The game took place in Leksand, Sweden. The final score was 4:5. Only shootout made it possible to determine the winner.

The first period was rather successful for Sweden players. They managed to score two times creating a comfortable handicap in the match.

However the second part of the match turned out to be rather tough. Russian team scored two equalizers. More over Radulov made it possible for Russia to take the lead in the match due to a 3rd goal. However it took not so long to make the score equal once again for Sweden.

The third period was equal. Both of the tem scored 1 goal. The final result was 4:4. No one was able to take the lead during the overtime. That is why only a shootout made it possible to determine the winner of the match. Klausen scored a winning bullet and grabbed the victory for his team. Russian team played against Finland in their second match on the 8th of November. They lost with the final score 2:6.
