American Express (AMEX) is considering the possibility of cross-border payments using Ripple
It is reported that Ripple announced its cooperation with American Express on its official website. The document says that many companies face problems in carrying out cross-border payments with small amounts. The joint work of AMEX and Ripple is designed to solve these problems.

The type of international transfers, which currently prevails in the market, is characterized by high commissions and a long time of implementation, which is unprofitable for the removal of small amounts.

Analysts at American Express quote the company's statistics, which suggests that in practice, small companies often resort to international transfers. American Express has used Ripple's xCurrent system in its work, but now the company has been thinking about how to start using this tool for international transfers to optimize the conditions and lower the cost of such transactions.

Note that for AMEX work with Ripple in this matter will be very useful, because the company is the most popular international operator for various payment services, it is very in demand in many English-speaking countries.
