Rosneft requires the AFK to compensate more than 170 billion rubles, which supposedly corresponds to the amount of losses incurred by Rosneft's now-owned oil company Bashneft from the reorganization, which had ruled it at the time the System in 2014. "AFK offers a mechanism for resolving the dispute, allowing extrajudicial evaluation of the results of the reorganization of Bashneft and the financial implications of this reorganization for the oil company," the AFC representative said. Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, who is in Sochi on Thursday at a meeting of the company's shareholders, said he had not seen yet the Sistema proposal. "I was working at the meeting today, but I still do not have information, but given that some of the proposals were submitted to the court earlier, we first need to check whether there are legitimate ones," Interfax quoted Sechin. Previously, Sechin did not exclude the possibility of a settlement agreement with AFK Sistema. Recently, the media reported that Rosneft withdrew its claim, but the oil company denied these reports. According to some data, independent directors of the diversified holding company appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to intervene in the litigation initiated by Rosneft and assist in a fair trial. However, the Kremlin claimed that Putin would not interfere in the lawsuit. |
