Accenture has replaced the head of Blockchain innovation

A new member of the team, Iliana Oris Valiente, will act as managing director and global blockchain innovative leadership for the new Accenture technology group, which develops prototypes and advanced solutions that ultimately help organizations maximize their productivity.

Valiente, who recently founded the ColliderX blockchain R&D hub, will monitor the growth of the blockchain capabilities of the company, as well as its blockchain talent pool. Based on the practice of Accenture's Blockchain in Canada, she will also act as blockchain coordinator for the steering committee on initiatives for strategic growth of the firm.

Valiente brings to Accenture a significant experience in the field of corporate blockchain companies, having been a co-founded of Deloitte's Rubix blockchain initiative and contributing to the promotion of this firm in distributed ledger consulting and development until her departure in May.

According to Simon Whitehouse, senior managing director and head of Accenture's global blockchain practice, Valiente's ability to act as a conduit between the community of blockchain developers and business will become a strong asset for their customers and management, as their company help a variety of industries to use distributed ledger technology.
