About 19 thousand babies were born during half-year of 2014 in Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia

Official website of Nizhny Novgorod statistics has revealed information about the fact that 18 708 babies have been born during half-year of 2014. This number has increased by 382 newborns in comparison with the same period last year.

At the same time 26 351 deaths have been registered during first 6 months in 2014. This rate has also decreased by 203 people in comparison with the same period last year.

Natural population decline turned out to be 3 times lower during the last 8 years. Overall number of deaths was 38 098 in 2005 and 13 457 people in 2013. Death rate is 1.4 times higher in comparison with birth rate in Nizhny Novgorod region in 2014.
