A plane had his wheel totally broken while landing at Nizhniy Novgorod airport, Russia

The plane belongs to “Ak Bars Aero” Company. An incident has taken place while it was lending at Nizhny Novgorod airport. A wheel that is located on the left main landing gear has fallen into pieces. There were four passengers on board the plane at that moment. Fortunately no one has been injured.

This aircraft was damaged. Cessna-208 is produced by the US manufacturer. It belongs to a lightweight single-engine turboprop aircraft class. It has a specific construction which does not allow hiding landing gear during the flight. Production of these aircrafts has been launched in 1984. 163 planes have been lost in different accidents and crashes throughout the whole history of the company. Transport Prosecutor's Office representatives will look into all details of this incident.
