A Man was killed in remand Prison of Nizhny Novgorod

40-year old man was killed in remand prison of Nizhny Novgorod on the 9th of December. Such information has recently appeared on the official website of Nizhny Novgorod Investigation Department.

In accordance with available information a man was murdered during a fight which took place in one of the local remand prisons that is located on Gagarin prospect. The incident has taken place on the 9th of December at daytime. 25-year old prisoner strangled his cellmate with a hand-made rope. Guard has found the body.

The suspect has immediately confessed and told investigators that the conflict arose because of sexual orientation of the victim. Criminal didn’t want to be in one cell together with a gay.

A criminal case has been initiated by investigation committee along with forensics.

The suspect is being interrogated at the moment. The police are trying to find out all circumstances of this crime.
